How to Upgrade and Level Skills in Crystalfall

Introduction

This guide explains how to upgrade skills in Crystalfall using the Tinkerbox system. You will learn how to increase skill rarity, reroll nodes, and optimize your build progression.

Step 1 – Unlock Tinkerbox

To upgrade your skills, you must first unlock the Tinkerbox. It becomes available after completing the quest: "The Breach Engine Reforged".

Step 2 – Open Crafting
  • Open your Inventory
  • Click "Crafting"
  • Or press hotkey F

Drag the skill you want to upgrade into the Tinkerbox window.

Upgrade Options

1. Upgrade Skill Rarity

This option allows you to upgrade skill rarity from: Common → Rare → Legendary → Mythic. Remember, there is a chance of not upgrading a skill and destroying one of the nodes.

  • Common → Rare: Alchemist's Lesser Module + Shards
  • Rare → Legendary: Alchemist's Module + Shards
  • Legendary → Mythic: Alchemist's Greater Module + Shards

2. Shuffle Skill Row

This option allows you to reroll nodes inside a selected row. Starting from the third row (Rare rarity), you can get nodes when shuffling that are hidden, since your rarity is not fully upgraded.

  • Choose a row
  • Spend Shards
  • Nodes will be randomized

Node levels

After completing the nodes, you can upgrade the selected nodes using the Skill Key. Open the skill tree with Ctrl + LMB and select the desired nodes. Insert the appropriate Crest into the topmost node.
